Our Story

Hello, My name Is Molly and I am the founder of Libelinha. We are based in South West London, UK and established in March 2020.

Libelinha is the portuguese word for dragonfly, portuguese being my partners mother tongue. Dragonfly’s are free and beautiful, exciting when you spot them gently hovering about, their striking and electric colours so mesmerising. Libelinha was a calling to flutter our wings!

I had a desire to embark on an independent venture for a long time coming, to delve into what I love doing and have more freedom. Whilst travelling, these ideas started to flow and flourish at long last, I made some connections with some wonderful handicrafts while in India, picked up some jewellery on my travels to be able to share back home. Arriving back just before the pandemic, with ample time on my hands.. Libelinha was born! Fast forward a few months, the website was up and I started trading at markets around South West London and Surrey. I haven’t looked back ever since! 

Libelinha source a collection of unique and bold adornments for the free spirited. Created to a high standard and hand picked by myself. We work with a team of handicrafts in Rajasthan, India and in Bangkok, Thailand who's work practices align with our high ethical standards.  Talented crafters of intricate, high quality jewellery. 
All polymer clay jewellery is hand crafted by myself, made with only love and care - I source my crystals from a local crystal store a few miles from my home, and upcycle all copper used. Slow paced jewellery to be loved for years to come.
